Industry Analyst Highlights AIMS QLM Framework
Comprehensive
Report Places AIMS among Top Quality Software Suppliers
Research Triangle Park, N.C. (December
20, 2004) - AIMS,
a leading quality solutions provider, has captured the
attention of AMR Research with its Quality Lifecycle
Management (QLM) Framework for manufacturing enterprise
users.
AMR Research analyst Alison Smith, a twenty year veteran
of the manufacturing software market, notes AIMS as
a vendor to watch in her comprehensive report titled
Regulatory Compliance Reshapes the Quality Software
Market, released December 9, 2004. "Although
AIMS is a new entrant to the enterprise quality market,
its QLM Framework supports a spectrum of quality
processes, from incoming inspection and supplier tracking
through product quality management and reporting. Web-based
graphical data entry interfaces are particularly well
suited for the rapid collection of surface defect data,
and visual quality work instructions guide operators
through inspection processes on complex assemblies."
More
than just a quality management system, AMR Research's
Smith notes: "The product's ability to capture, track,
and provide visibility into the status of a serialized
component or assembly as it flows through the production
environment has been leveraged by users seeking a
shop-floor work-in-process tracking application as
well as a pure quality management system. These attributes
make the QLM Framework particularly well
suited for complex make-to-order environments."
"Our customers will be
familiar
with much in this report" says Masoud Monazah, AIMS
vice president of services. "Our growing customer
base validates AMR Research's view that the QLM Framework,
in combination with our implementation services, produces
concrete results." The AMR report makes note
of these results, with the closing words: "AIMS
is steadily cutting its teeth in this segment [make-to-order
manufacturing], relying on successful deployments
and viral growth to expand its footprint. References
indicate that the company is highly committed to customer
service, referenceability, and working closely with
key clients to refine its product roadmap."
AIMS
QLM provides a unique integrated platform for quality
management over the entire lifecycle from design through
in-process manufacturing and supplier to services.
Based on standard Internet technologies including
Microsoft ASP.NET, and supporting ORACLE, DB2, and
MS SQL databases, AIMS QLM scales from hosted to individual
plant installations to enterprise-wide deployment,
and is accessed on client platforms from Pocket PC
to tablet to desktop. Additionally, AIMS QLM flexibly
addresses needs in a range of production environments
from handcrafted to high volume. Savings
in reduced quality management effort and cost of poor
quality together with top line improvements from improved
production efficiencies and throughput typically result
in simple payback periods of six months or less.
"AIMS is delighted with the thorough
analysis of our product framework by an organization
as respected as AMR Research," added Perry Smith,
AIMS president. "We will continue
to enhance our product capabilities so that current
and future customers gain significant benefits from
integrated functionality across the full lifecycle."
