AIMS Ships MLM 5 Version 5

Research Triangle Park, NC, June 17, 2008– AIMS an innovator of quality improvement and lifecycle operations management solutions for the discrete manufacturing value chain, today announced the release and SaaS availability of its Manufacturing Lifecycle Management (MLM) Framework Release 5. Several recognized global manufacturers already have the product installed at their data centers or access it as a secure hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

MLM Release 5 provides significant new inspection and quality improvement capabilities to assist mid-sized OEMs and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers in the vehicle, general transportation and durable goods markets. Beyond the hosted service option, the new release offers operational enhancements including new high volume production inspection interfaces, increased wireless scanner integration, expanded real-time alerts, and check sheet inspection improvements to provide image references and configurable URL links to on-line inspection instructions and procedures. 

Reporting enhancements include expanded and highly detailed real-time performance summary reports, supplier reports, audit interfaces and improved ad-hoc reporting through an integrated query builder.

AIMS employs the Microsoft platform in all aspects of MLM Release 5, including .NET Framework and the SQL/Windows Server product families, to provide ease of development, maintenance and integration, together with a high degree of reliability and scalability.
