Brunswick Deploys AIMS Quality Lifecycle Management Framework

AIMS Selected as Boat Group standard from over 100 suppliers

Research Triangle Park , N.C. (April 21, 2004) -- AIMS announced today that the Brunswick Boat Group, the world's largest maker of pleasure boats and a unit of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), has deployed AIMS QLM (Quality Lifecycle Management) framework in its operations. AIMS QLM™  framework, featuring AIMS Tracker, will help Brunswick extend their world class quality and production management capabilities to a new level for their Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and Hatteras Yacht premium boat manufacturing operations.

AIMS QLM framework provides an incomparable platform for quality management efforts over the entire product lifecycle from design through in-process manufacturing and supplier to distribution and services. Based on standard Internet technologies, AIMS QLM scales from individual plant installations to enterprise-wide deployment. Additionally, AIMS QLM flexibly address needs in a range of production environments from hand-crafted to high volume.

"Our corporate partnership with AIMS is already yielding great results", said Jay Fuller, vice president - manufacturing for Hatteras Yachts in New Bern, N.C. "We are impressed with AIMS award-winning products, their team, and their responsiveness. Brunswick's world-renowned products make high demands on a quality solution, and AIMS was up to the challenge."

"AIMS products reflected their commitment to providing advanced technology in service of real business needs. AIMS was selected as our provider because they listen to their customers and provide unique solutions not offered by others. AIMS solutions enable us to continue to be the leader in our commitment to quality" commented Reese Stansell, Sea Ray's executive director of quality systems.

"Brunswick believes in partnering with our suppliers, and AIMS strongly demonstrated its commitment to engage with our business in that way", said John Campbell, Boat Group Division IT program manager. "AIMS quality framework closely aligns with our own technology direction, based as it is on the best and most scalable technology standards. Putting these factors together, our choice of AIMS was straightforward."

"We are thrilled to be selected by Brunswick", AIMS CEO Perry Smith remarked, adding "our QLM framework is designed with company's like Brunswick in mind, with robust capabilities for scaleable multi-plant deployment, features and functions spread from design through distribution, and the ability to handle the operational quality needs from the world's finest yachts at Hatteras to the full range of premium recreational and sport fishing products at Sea Ray and Boston Whaler".
